By establishing positive communication and rapport with each resident you’ll be encouraging them to participate in programs and exchanging information with other staff related to resident concerns. In this role you’ll also liaise with community organizations to direct residents to appropriate resources. There are also general administrative duties and the monitoring of security systems, cameras and curfews as well as attending to general housekeeping duties in the residence as necessary.

Qualifications

·Someone with a passion for and interest in working with vulnerable populations

·Relevant education (Criminology, Corrections, Social Work) or experience working with the reintegration of men with addictions and/or mental health issues

·An understanding of the use of authority in supervision and the ability to intervene effectively in crises  

·Experience with computer programs including Excel and Word
